"Each of your students is a unique creation. Some are funny, some serious, some industrious, others are more thoughtful. Together, they make up the body of Christ and are each called to serve in their own special way. Serving Like Christ Together helps students discover ways to serve God by serving others. Six sessions unpack and explain the aspects of a servant’s heart that Jesus values most: • Humility and Sacrifice: redefining what it means to be successful • Seeing Christ in Others: learning to serve God by serving his people • Compassion: seeing need and taking action • The Holy Spirit: relying on the Holy Spirit to direct and fuel service • Bondslaves: understanding what it means to be a slave to Christ • Serving Outsiders: discovering the joy of helping difficult people Service gives students a chance to discover their gifts, build friendships inside and outside the group, and refocus their priorities on something larger than themselves."

How to serve with generosity and love. Service is giving, and giving is the very essence of the gospel. God gave His only begotten Son. Jesus gave His life on the cross. The Holy Spirit gives us the power to resist sin and follow God’s commands. It is from this abundance of what we have been given that God calls us to then freely give ourselves–to actually develop a mindset in which we look first to the needs of others above our own interests. In Developing a Servant’s Heart, Dr. Charles Stanley shows how each of us have been equipped, empowered, and charged to do this as we follow the example of Jesus–the Supreme Servant. The Charles F. Stanley Bible Study Series is a unique approach to Bible study, incorporating biblical truth, personal insights, emotional responses, and a call to action. Each study draws on Dr. Stanley’s many years of teaching the guiding principles found in God’s Word, showing how we can apply them in practical ways to every situation we face. This edition of the series has been completely revised and updated, and includes two brand-new lessons from Dr. Stanley. Each lesson includes: Overview: A brief look at what

Many believers who are sheep have put so much on our pastor’s shoulders. When we neglect our own responsibility as sheep to help shape, mold, build the Body of Christ, as well as to help guide new converts of faith. As a pastor, I did not have a notion about God’s sheep, so I began my journey to discover how to shepherd God’s sheep. Much to my surprise, I found many different kinds of sheep: faithful and unfruitful sheep, gossiping sheep, lying sheep, sheep who cannot be trained, dishonest sheep, messy sheep, faithful sheep, blessed sheep, loving sheep, and more. We have so many different types of sheep of various levels of faith and commitment, but there is hope in the Body of Christ. Are you blessing to your pastor and leaders? Are you a sheep who brings joy or pain? This story is one of feelings and how our feelings cannot drive our relationship with God, because we have the mind of Christ. When we allow our minds to be in control then we are unfruitful to God and will become a tool for the enemy to plant seeds of bitterness. Our emotions are true, but they are an
